Levi Dobrinski, a violinist/composer/educator, has directed orchestras at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels in the Putnam City and Edmond school district from 2012-2021. He currently serves an assistant principal at Shawnee Middle School in Shawnee, OK.
Levi has also served as the state president for the Collegiate Oklahoma Music Educator’s Association (COkMEA) in 2013, was named the OkMEA Young Music Educator of the Year for the state of Oklahoma in 2018, and served on the Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) executive committee as a member of the team that wrote the Oklahoma Arts Standards for Music in 2020. He also is currently serving on the board for the Oklahoma Alliance for Arts Education and in an advisory group for teacher-leader effectiveness at the OSDE.
Mr. Dobrinski enjoys seeing the growth of students across the educational spectrum. He has served as a guest-conductor orchestras throughout the region, including the Tulsa Youth Symphony, the University of Arkansas Summer Music Camp, various All-City orchestras, and the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Orchestra. In January 2020, Levi took the Putnam City West orchestra, on invitation from the Lord Mayor of Westminster, to participate in the London’s New Year’s Day Music Festival and performed a concert at the historic Codogan Hall.
Mr. Dobrinski also enjoys performing in various capacities and venues across the state and is currently on staff with Oklahoma Baptist University teaching in the orchestra preparatory department. Levi also is an active composer/clinician and has worked with groups throughout Oklahoma.
